To be truthful Teresa I think the best way is simply to use the macro
recorder to do some simple operations in a spreadsheet and then
deconstruct the coding of the macros (alt F11) you have recorded by
changing some of the parameters (cell range, cell colour.
operator...whatever).
It's probably a heretical way to teach it but I don't think it's worth
going through VBA from first principals with Apps students, it's just
not the focus of the course it seems to me.
