Yes, Gamemaker is very difficult to teach. Teaching resources are blocked (anything with the word game in it is blocked, so gamemaker sites are not able to be accessed from school). Setting assignments on game development through the recent history for both the year 9s and also the year 11s if they choose to do that issue in SAC 1-3 now, or in the new course I expect, is frustrating for all concerned, and usually a waste of time. This needs to be addressed.

If you can see it:

The change over was smooth by all accounts, but the new filtering regime is incredibly frustrating.
Chatrooms are an invaluable source of information and just about every one is blocked until you go through the rigmarole of whitelisting them.
Have you tried to teach Games yet? Wait until you get to that one. Sheesh.
Cheers

Just a brief off-topic question. Has anybody had a trouble-free changeover to Netspace? Ours has been horrific. I sent my students off to devzone.zend.com <http://devzone.zend.com/> to look at some of the great tutorials there (devzone.zend.com/article/627) and access was denied because the web-site's content was deemed "inappropriate: contains computing and IT chat"! That's almost as good as the time our filters denied access to the Vatican's Art Gallery because it contained "Nudity, Lingerie and Profanity". Roll on Conroy's firewall!
We did fix it.
