Steve,

I am now semi retired and although I have been an exam marker for IPM/ITA since 2005 I am not teaching that subject at present.

I am, have always been, concerned about the cost of PD for teachers, especially country teachers.

You are at Trafalgar - so it would be great if you could organise a local PD on Flash at low cost. Please try offering such a PD for your local area, ie from at least Traralgon to Warragul

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] New IT Apps teacher

Hi everyone, I have taught software development year 12 a few years ago and this is my first crack at IT applications. What would the starting point for collecting resources? At a starting point a year planner would be nice, just to get my head around what needs to be taught in which week etc. Does anyone have anything that they can bounce to me?

As a aside note to the cost of PD - A starting lesson in flash or the Level one courses that are being offered around the place from time to time, are worth about $100 $150 for a day each to attend. I actually thought about running a course down here for a second! Heck - teaching a year 10 Multimedia course, I think I've taught basic flash 10 times (and many others would be 10 years + of teaching basic flash) 20 people attending. do the math. My thoughts.
