I've been at ACEC2010 this week, helping out in that way that I do at
these kinds of events. Today's the last day.
There've been many discussions - some of you might have seen the twitter
stream http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23acec2010 Good to see some of you
there, sorry to miss those who couldn't make it.
The leadership forum on Tuesday was all about the National Curriculum,
and there were notes of disappointment from some of the voices about the
lack of ICT in that vision as it stands. Alan November had the crowd
fired up on Wednesday. Yesterday, Sylvia Martinez got 'em thinking and
Adam Elliot inspired laughter and reflection on the nature of a digital
profession. What will today bring?
Gary Stager and Chris Betcher will keynote today. And the conference
will close with a handover ceremony to ACEC2012 in Perth.
The National conference on computers in education won't be back to
Melbourne for a while... Last time it was here was 2000. How much has
changed since then, how much will change in the next decade?
Whether teaching with computers, or about computers, mobile devices,
virtual communities, networks, clouds, nanocomputing, quantum computing,
biotech and wearable gadgets... The dialogue at these events is just
the tip of the iceberg.
If you've got a moment this morning, why not head to Jeff's shed, get an
expo only ticket and join us for lunch?
Or perhaps join the NING... http://acec2010.ning.com/
