Hey folks,

Check out http://www.grubba.net/ - It's a web based database tool along
the lines of Access or Filemaker

Just saw it posted by http://twitter.com/brightideasblog and thought it
might be of interest to those of you teaching database principles.

But of course, where there's one, there's more, so I googled a bit to
see what else might be out there, so you might also want to take a look
at these:

 https://creator.zoho.com/

Experimental Fusion Tables from Google Labs

Whilst this one's a spreadsheet, not a db, thought it might still be
interesting... http://www.editgrid.com

Also worth remembering that imdb.com, itunes and amazon are online
databases - how could using sites and tools like those help bring
database topics alive for your students?

Oh! and here's a bonus site for the ubergeeks ... http://tinydb.org/
