Yes, Sacre Coeur have a Headstart program for 10s into 11 and 11s into 12

Yes useful - most students do complete set work and if not - it is addressed by coordinators who contact parents

strengths - well scheduled, compulsory, consists of pastoral sessions too, sessions on surviving VCE, other + subject intros

weaknesses - nothing that I can think of - except for the prep required by teachers in the middle of all the other school business; admittedly too, there are students who have wound down already

Just a quick informal survey to see ....

a) which schools have a "jumpstart" program for their 2010 VCE IT classes?
b) whether you feel that they are useful, ie. do the kids start the year
having done the work?
c) what are the strengths of your particular program?
d) what are the weaknesses of your program?
e) any other comments?
