Hi Ian,

 We had Net-op and paid a few thousand for it . Unfortunately it did not work consistently. One minute you would see 5 machines, then 8 then 2 , then 12 , then 5 and on it would go and never the whole class. Management is easy with Netop if it works.
Italc by comparison was free and very powerful, however you need to manual everything manually. So the cost is the time of your technician though that  can't come close to the license fees of Netop and others.

I am currently evaluating Net-op and Lanschool. Does anybody have any experience with these programs they would like to share or offer other programs that may do the same thing - Open Source would be good.
