HI Claire,
SAC security:
I have a special folder (SAC) on the shared network drive.
Each student has a folder in the SAC drive.
Their access to their SAC folder is controlled via a batch file I run which
gives them full rights to this folder or no rights at all.
This means at the start of a SAC period , I open it up and at the end I
close it simply by running a batch file. Your techie should be able to help
you out here.
I also use a program called AB control which I run from my laptop. This
gives me full ability to look at or control a students¹ PC. It can also be
used to temporarily change the students¹ windows registry to lock them out
of the internet, lock them out if their Home drive and block usb ports.
And of course I still watch them like a hawk .=, but it works for me.
And oh yeah ,correction ? easy peasy, I have full rights to their SAC
drive and therefore don¹t have to wade through their totally disorganized
home drives to find their work. I simply copy their sac drives onto my
lappie and take the work ready to be marked at my leisure.
NB: Full thanks to my techie for helping me with this concept.
Cheers
