[Year 12 IT Apps] more thoughts on the new study design

Sure! I have the file converter installed. For those who do not know where to get it try http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en
and so my Office 2003 can now open and save as 2007 format files.
Also OpenOffice 3.0 will open Win Office 2007 files - and can export files in pdf format.
My point was that perhaps we should have agreed formats for attached files sent to the lists. The ITA and SD lists may well consist mainly of people who are very IT savvy and know all about file formats, conversion methods, etc.
Others might or might not :-)
So agreed formats? Do we need formats that everyone can easily create and open? And some simple instructions on how to create/open those formats?

You can always use the free FormatConverter downloadable from Microsoft.
Then again, maybe PDF's are the way to go.

Hi Janet,
Wordy is fine! You take your time to say what you want to say. And it was relevant and interesting,
BUT Word 2007 .docx format is a separate issue.
Surely we need to use a document format that all can access.
Perhaps we should talk about this
