[Year 12 IT Apps] Professional development - VITTA

Dear colleagues

 

This Friday (20 February), VITTA is running a professional development
program for VCE IT and VET IT teachers. The running of concurrent
sessions allows both first-time teachers of the study/programs and
experienced teachers to participate in sessions that meet their needs.
If you have not already registered, I would urge you to do so now. 

 

You will have the opportunity to listen to, and speak with, experienced
VCE IT and VET IT teachers, and this should help you not only plan your
learning program for the year, but also refine your skills in developing
assessment tasks. From a VCE IT perspective, the study audit has
revealed that many teachers need more help in developing tasks that are
compliant with the study design. This involves having a better
understanding of the study design requirements, as well as the
performance descriptors found in the Assessment Handbook. All of these
areas will be covered on the day.
