[Year 12 IT Apps] Will Increasing Automation Make Jets Less Safe?

A chilling read! Another good source on this topic is Ben Sandilands' blog
on Crikey (crikey.com.au). Ben is a long standing aviation reporter and has
a series of articles discussing this and the Boeing Dreamliner fiasco (high
tech materials failures at the wing root - gulp). His set on the Air France
disaster discusses pilot and designer views on cabin automation and makes
for sobering reading.

going too far and that diminished human control could create dangerous
situations.
