this can be done as a query. under critera enter [enter <field_name>]

<field_name> being the field she is doing a search in

Subject: Adding a search box in access

Hello All.
               i have a Yr 12 student who would like to add a simple search box into a form in mircosoft access. She has the text box inserted as to where she is going to type in the CustomerID number and then a button that will run the search and find the correct person on the database. 

Does anyone know some simple visual basic code that will run this operation?
