Dear Teachers,
Following on from the VCE IT education workshops that were held at
Swinburne’s Hawthorn campus, the Faculty of Information &
Communication Technologies are running an IT Applications and a Software
Development exam preparation lecture for students. These two lectures
were held as part of our previous VCE IT days and we would like to offer
these one off sessions to students who did not get a chance to attend
previously.
Dates:
VCE IT Applications - Monday 3 November, 2008
VCE Software Development - Wednesday 5 November, 2008
Time:
4.30pm - 5.30pm
Venue:
Engineering Building (EN) - Foyer
Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn Campus
Price:
No charge
The IT Application workshop will cover topics including networks,
database and spreadsheets. The Software Development session will cover
topics including algorithms, data flow diagrams and networks. The
presenter will take students through a series of questions from previous
examinations where students scored the least amount of marks as
stipulated by the Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority. General
tips and tricks for the IT Applications and Software Development
examination will also be discussed.
This is a great opportunity for your students to gain additional advice
and material to assist with their exam preparation. Students will also
be provided with related resources to aid their preparation.
