[Year 12 IT Apps] New It Funding

I would not worry about the talk.  From what I have read, they are giving $1000 per computer allocated, and the school buys the type of computers that is suitable for that school.  The main rules are that you can not spend the money on staff computers or servers.

We are a catholic school.
We have been asked (early feb) to submit basic details of our network
etc.
We have unofficially been told we did not make the first round of
handouts.

My real concern though is a rumour that a school that does make the
first round of funding will just be dumped with x number of laptops. No
support, no software, no infrastructure upgrades to accommodate, etc etc
just drive in dump off 50 laptops and drive away.

like what they see then we may be put on a list to apply for a grant..
