Kevork please correct me if I am wrong :-)

DO NOT REPLY TO CONFIRM!

The problem is not with edulists as such and any "replying to confirm" by 
edulist members does nothing but clog up the system even more because you 
reply to edulists and your reply goes out to all the list members.

The problem lies with the mail server at ekc.vic.edu.au . As part of its 
"overkill" anti-spam system it would not accept emails from edulists as it 
did not have the edulists address in its "to be trusted" list. It sent back 
its first "challenge" email to edulists that then automatically sent it out 
to all list members - including the member using the ekc.vic.edu mail 
server, which then sent out another "challenge" to edulists that then . . .

You can see how the thing snowballed. Now I assume that Kevork has either 
sorted things out with ekc.vic.edu.au or has blocked email from them until 
it can be sorted out.

Thanks Kevork for your time and effort. The rest of you please do not even 
consider "replying to confirm"
