Tried it.  
Say it won't work unless I upgrade to office 2007..... 

Perhaps revisit when the whole school has upgraded.

Messenger) that allows EduMail users to communicate with their colleagues

.Office Communicator is available to all EduMail users including teachers,
schools administration staff, schools technicians and central and regional
office staff.
.Peripherals such as cameras and headsets have been tested and verified for
use with Office Communicator on CASES21 workstations."
