[Year 12 IT Apps] An access query question...

I just reread your email and another interpretation occured to me (I'm not 
familiar with 'simco'). If you mean 2008 - [date1] then you can't do it like 
that. The first figure has to be a date, 1/1/2008 (I think) would get you 
what you want, and if you are putting it in as a literal date then it must 
be enclosed in #; eg #1/1/2008#. If you are getting the current year from a 
control then you will probably have to prefix it with "1/1/" and possibly 
convert the string into a date using the appropriate Access function.
