Yes, it is an interesting open source project that we had a good chat about
last year on the opensource list. If you are interested in software that is
free to use, modify or share with your students, it is worth subscribing to
this Edulist mailing list. Again, thank you to Kevork for taking the trouble

Like Mozilla Firefox, there is growing set of plugins and extensions.
Amazing to watch these small communities and forums spring up around
opensource projects with much desired or handy custom features.
