Dear colleagues
The study design states that the project plan must be created using software tools (page 30 in table). As noted by contributors to this list, it is also stated in the Assessment handbook, but the handbook is advisory only, hence my mention of the study design (mandated).

Yes I think you are right Janet, the following is on page 17 of the assessment handbook, Antonia.
Task 2
Description
A project management report that includes the management plan and a record of progress, created using software tools.
Designing the assessment task
Teachers should develop an assessment task that allows the student to:
* identify the major elements involved in managing the project
* use software tools and apply project management techniques to represent planning strategies
* apply strategies to monitor the progress of the project
* have the opportunity to demonstrate the highest level of performance.
