[Year 12 IT Apps] IT applications 2007 exam: assessor's report

Well, AFAIK, the only validation you could do with a name is existence 
(has it been entered?) and type (alphanumeric, including punctuation 
like dashes).  You couldn't even validate that it has capital letters at 
the start of each word, since some names don't (e.g. Leo da Vinci).

Postcodes can be better validated by type (numeric), range (3000-3999 
plus 8000-8999, I think, in Victoria), length (4 digits in Oz).
