Hi all,
we have found that the Epilepsy foundation and also there are 'student at risk' programs in most local areas that take computers and monitors to give to students who are needy.... this may help your situation..
cheers
Deb

You just have to walk around any neighbourhood that has a hard rubbish collection service to realise that CRT's are not valued by anyone - saw one today on its back with smashed screen in Scotchmans' Creek ....
Very sad, bloody crazy, but just shows the government's and the community's general lack of concern about having a real recycling program in Australia.

i think i is an awful procedure for householders to have to pay to recycle, in fact plain stupid.
If people can get rid of them from the council for free instead of paying to get rid of them they will. Charities dont want them, as i have phoned a few myself.
When i did crt work in primary schools they were all wanting more computers, so what is going on?
