[Year 12 IT Apps] Another Questions: VITTA Practice Exam 2 Question 56

Sorry guys for doing this piecemeal, but can I please have your
opinion to the following 

The Answer to Question 5 VITTA Exam 2 suggests that a primary key is
a data type

My understanding of a primary key is that it is a key that is
designated to a field therfore ensuring that the field holds a unique
value for each record - within this field however a data type would be
text,number, date etc
