Keith et al,

I have to agree with Kent here. I was tempted to apply the first time round
but baulked at the thought of those high expectations.

I know you haven't gone yet, but I'm sure everyone here would wish you well
for the future and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for all the
contributions you have made that have saved our bacons (oops! Sorry - bacon
and Jewish schools and all that! ;-) ).

I'll have another look at the criteria - maybe I'll be tempted to try. After
all, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Sincerely,

Jeff Lynn,
Yeshivah and Beth Rivkah Colleges,
St Kilda East.

I totally concur Ros! I'm good, but am I THAT good?

Hey Keith, given that you have done so much, another side of the coin may be
that your high standards make some of us(me for example) wonder that ' if '
we put in for your position, 'could' we fill your shoes or, would the panel
expect the applicant to be even up to your level of achievements?

Yes, finding suitable replacements is difficult, but, dare I say it....we
are ALL replaceable! (I sometimes wonder if the word ' disposable ' is a
more suitable word )

Hello everyone.
We have an interesting case scenario happening. In this list I have read
about teachers unhappy that their ITA classes are shrinking and
disappearing. As I am retiring, my school has advertised my position and
I expected there to be many more applications but to my knowledge this
has not occurred. Why, I do not know.
In case you know of anyone possibly interested, could you please draw
their attention to the following?

ITA Teacher/IT Manager

Leibler Yavneh College is seeking an outstanding IT
professional to provide leadership and innovation in the
area of learning technology. Commencing in 2008, this
varied senior role will enable you to express yourself as
a VCE teacher of Info Tech Applications (ITA) as well as
manage the IT requirements of the College.
If you are looking for a dynamic role in a warm
and caring school, please forward your application
including details of your experience, training
and two referees to Mr Roy Steinman, College
Principal, Leibler Yavneh College, PO Box 164,
Caulfield South VIC 3162
Or email r.steinman at yavneh.vic.edu.au by Friday 26
October 2007.
For further information visit our website at
www.yavneh.vic.edu.au or contact Aviva Givoni on
9528 4911; email a.givoni at yavneh.vic.edu.au
Consistently ranked as one of Victoria's top independent
schools, Leibler Yavneh College is a Modern Orthodox
Zionist co-educational Jewish day school home to over
700 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

I have sent this to the ITA list believing that it would be of interest
to ITA teachers.

Regards, Keith
