[Year 12 IT Apps] Re: Teaching ITA to Yr 11s

Debra,

When I got email I did a double check with my Careers person because
this is incorrect from my understanding. Students who do two ITs e.g. SD
and IT Apps will have both counted in ENTER primary four. If a student
does a third study it will still be counted but it will not be in their
top four (i.e. the lowest scored IT will be subject 5 or 6).

As neither are prereq studies (that I am aware of) there should not be a
issue with accepting them as part of the ENTER or entrance to particular
courses.

Regards

Claudia

here is the problem with that.... the students can only use the score
from either ITA or SOD to assist them in getting into the university as
I had a student who tried both and it was rejected...

hope yours had better luck.

I offered IPM(ITA) in one year and Info Systems(SOD) in the second to
overcome this problem.

Oops, my mistake! That sounds much more sensible, although what do you
do with the kids who want to do 2 years of IT?
