Subject: Rural Rescue Flights feedback..
It seems that my topic for the outcome has aroused quite some interest
and demand judging by the number of requests for my outcome. I'm
flattered to say the least.
Although it is not a direct plug for the RFDS its good to know that at
least it has raised some awareness for their service and as they say,
every little bit helps!
And yes, I am happy to provide copies of my OC if people ask me directly
(email address below).
Due to start mine this Wednesday.
Go the 'Roos ! (1 point but thats all it takes to get 4....!)

Beaten by another flickr fan! These oodles of images all have a creative
commons license for non-commercial use and modification in your
classroom. DL them from home if flickr is blocked from your gaze at
school or drop me a line. It will take students a few moments to pen a
kind thank you letter to an author that is easily forwarded on and
another onto the cool crowd that invented the rich Creative Commons
<http://creativecommons.org/> system. :-)
http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=RFDS&l=deriv&ct=0 and

Regards Roland
PS: it .. the RFDS relies on donations
<http://www.flyingdoctor.net/donation.htm> to keep their aircraft fleet
operational. Victoria has no requirement for the RFDS, so Victorian
funds have traditionally gone to WA. 80% of RFDS cases are for
indigenous patients. .. sorry, I couldn't resist the plug ;-)

Kent,
I have some pics of craft and logos that I took during an idle afternoon
last year at the RFDS base in Cairns. I'll post them to my Flickr for
you under a creative commons licence to share and enjoy. In a former
life in the 1980's, I was an RFDS volunteer project coordinator, raising
funds for a neonatal transport system in Broome .. back then a digcam
would have been very handy ;-)

First, thanks for the feedback from those that have, its been great.
On the images question, which a few have commented, it is my plan to
source images such as the aircraft used by the Royal Flying Doctor
Service or similar which, as I have mentioned, I am still looking for
and no doubt will be satisfied soon (I hope). As for the logo, there are
2 options being considered, a teacher provided one or get the students
to make one as a prelim task, or worst case scenario, find one suitable
from the 'net'.
I havent made much contribution to the list in terms of work pieces so
it makes me feel good to know that independent listers are looking at my
contribution and taking it on face value.
As promised, when I am happy with the images I get, will post them. My
target is by about mid Satuday arvo of this week.
However, now that you know what images I desire, you as teachers out
there can feel free to provide your own for your own needs if desired.
What can I say, I've used this list many times for its resources and am
more than happy that others get to use something that I have made -
sounds fair to me and that's what this list is about isn't it?
Cheers...Hic!
KB.
PS have posted 'Rural Rescue Flights' on the VITTA site for those
looking for it as my contribution to resources.

Subject: Re: [Year 12 IT Apps] VB installs..
We had trouble installing VB.net express too but my 17 year old student
solved the problem!
Then when he started saving files, we had another problem - the next
time he ran the program, VB.NET <http://vb.net/> locked up. He solved
that one too!
He reckons by the end of the year he'll have solved all the problems so
I will have no trouble with it next year after he's gone. Is he an
optimist or what?
Cheers,
