Dear All
Have attached the fill-ins that I will use for the U301 SAC and the
criteria sheet.
These have been created from what was originally Antonia's, Keiths and
Kevorks work, I think.
Chris, I create a SAC each year for each outcome, sometimes I will
follow a theme or use ideas that others have suggested.
We have an activity week next week so no classes at all.
The students here will do the U301 SAC in weeks 8 and 9.

Thanks heaps!
Glad to know that
1. it's useful
2. I'm on the right track...
I would love some feedback on the Problem Description I wrote. Would
it
get a good mark? I will post my Data Structure Table (data
dictionary)
next week and then test plans.
QUESTION:
1. What other practice SACs are you all doing?
2. Is there a "real" SAC that most teachers are doing and what is
it?
More later,
Chris Milton

Can I just say to you Chris, that task you posted for OC1_U3 and all
the

Basically, a big thanks! If I was in Melbourne and you were close, I'd

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] First post: Nelson Chapter 1 test, blank
Project Management plans, practice SAC queries and resources
Hi,
I'm a first year VCE teacher doing Unit 3&4 IT Apps. Thanks to all
the
people who've sent useful stuff directly to me or via the list - a
veritable treasure-trove of helpful resources!!! It's even too much
at
times!!! Only just getting my head above water now...
Time to give something back... Is it usual to just post attachments
(if
they're not too big) to the list?
Attached is my end of Chapter 1 test. We use the Nelson textbook.
The
test is very easy - mainly to make sure they've read the text, studied
and learnt the key terms/knowledge. Feedback appreciated... I've
started the answer to the Project Management question also...
We are currently doing a practice SAC - the one from the Nelson
textbook
web site (http://www.nelsoninfotech.com.au/it_u34/ in teacher
resources). It seems pretty straight-forward and I'm mainly getting
them used to the steps/procedure to follow. What would be helpful is
some more sample answers/diagrams/tables/overheads etc. to show
students
what's expected for this practice SAC. The solutions provided are
pretty brief and the data structure tables (data dictionary) aren't
100%
correct. Whatever I create I'll upload. I've got a blank project
plan
in MS Excel attached. I've also attached my effort at writing a
Problem
Description. I'd love some feedback on whether this is the expected
sort of level or not... Anyone else doing this practice SAC too?
For the "real" SAC (U301) is there a SAC that generally everyone else
is
using or what??? What other practice SACs have people found useful?
Thanks for the help, regards,
Chris M.
