Thanks Antonia for your marvellous contributions.
Can anyone give me an idea on how long they are going to give the kids for each part of SAC 1 Unit 4?
It seems as if there is a lot to get through, with three separate parts. Normally I would give my students a practice SAC first, but if its going to take longer than two weeks (10 periods) then I might not be able to.
Also on p 71 of the study design they give an example of a spreadsheet problem "web works", and they are talking about designing a project plan and Gantt chart (when we did this at the start of the year). Surely its not necessary to put this in as well, given that there is so much other stuff to get through?
Perhaps Paula, if you are out there, you could "please explain"?
regards,
Janet Bane

Attached is a word doc that lists the relevant VCAA exam questions from
2002 - 2006 - it may help you in compiling practice questions for
students.
Note however that as the questions are from past papers - some areas of
the new study are not covered.
A reminder too of the PD available to students and teachers on
Melbourne Uni Open Day 19th August. Exam preparation sessions for all
three Units 3 & 4 IT studies are available. See
http://www.vitta.org.au/calendar/?day=19&month=8&year=2007 for
further details.
