Why not get the kids to submit some work they have created in IT or other subjects which is bright and colourful - print it out on colour laser (if possible), or if you have a colour photocopier enlarge to A3, laminate if possible and display. Kids are much more interested in seeing their own work, and that of their friends, on the walls of the classroom than advertising posters. It's a good idea to give each of your classes their own space - it adds to their feeling of ownership and connectedness to their class.
Some possible ideas - Year 12 IPM digital imaging prints, banners done in publisher with important acronyms (see attachment), print outs of colourful web pages they have created - you are only limited by your imagination I guess! I'm sure others could offer many more suggestions.

Home computers are being called upon to perform many new functions, including the consumption of homework formerly eaten by the dog.
