I have just attended the Australian pilot of the "Intel - Workshop on teaching thinking with technology" program. It was amazing that Intel has coincidentially created 3 tools to do with the ICT thinking strand that we now have to all report on. One of the tools (sseing reason) is just like inspiration, only heaps more powerful, also it is FREE. I know I was very lucky to be accepted into the pilot program but I'm sure the worshops will spread quickly now the pilot is over. You can have a look for yourself at http://www97.intel.com/education/ choose the thinking tools picture, it is a link.

Hi Folks,
I have just calculated that I will have to pay in excess of $9000 to licence our whole school with Inspiration (300 x $33 - Dept of Ed. Software Rolling Fund). I rang the resellers here is Australia & they say that the US company won't budge on site licensing (which they don't offer). Does anyone use an alternative mind mapping software e.g. Open Source / Web-based or at leaast more affordable?
Regards,
