[Year 12 IPM] OT: VELS ICT

It could simply be a network folder containing selected pieces of work
couldn't it?
I am umming and ahhing about whether the whole "digital porfolio" is
worth the time involved.
You can use web ide's to create a website styled portfolio, but my
previous experience with Dreamweaver in doing this was that subject time
was taken up with the creation process. Some of the other presentations
I have seen from other schools (using similar processes) doing digital
portfolios reinforced this.
This was an advantage in that students learnt web-design as part of
science and integrated the ICT really well, the downside was the
struggle to complete the curriculum in a timeline that made no allowance
for it.
If time is built into the timetable to work on the creation process, it
can be a really worthwhile process, otherwise I would simply have the
students select some of their best pieces and store them in a seperate
network folder, without the need for any additional time or software.
Hmmmmm
