G'day Paul.
Autodesk's 3DS Max8 does this well, schools cost $100 per machine (down
from $4,000 per machine).
Steep learning curve - suggest you attend something like Swinburne's 16
hour short course beforehand as I did).
However, it is absolutely mindblowingly fantastic to use - if you saw
the Wednesday's 9.15am 3in6 presentation at the VITTA conference I
started it with a brief workout taken from the program.
