Hi Peter,
Thanks for your advice. I had tried pop and pop2 but not pop3!!!! I have now=
got my edumail into yahoo, which is great and means I don't have to deal wi=
th edumail getting full and therefore not receiving emails, but yahoo only g=
ives 200MB.
I have several contacts who use incredimail, but can you access it from the=
web? For example - when I am at home or school etc? I have to keep my main=
email on my desktop at home (it's the business computer), have a laptop for=
school, which is set up to use outlook for school mail (Lauriston mail unti=
l 12/12/06), and edumail. I also have a gmail, and apparently one of the mos=
t requested features for gmail (apart from 'save draft') is to be able to co=
llect other pop mail. When that happens my life will be complete!!! :))
Thanks once again, and may the sun shine on you !!

Hi Ros,
I use "Incredimail" and "pull" all my mail account into the one place, inclu=
ding Edumail and Hotmail.
The setup for Edumail is; Incoming mail pop3.edumail.vic.gov.au (you we=
re close) port 110
Outgoing mail smtp.edumail.vi=
c.gov.au port 25 which I think are the defaults.
As an aside, I can reply to any of my emails from any of my emails simply by=
selecting "From" on a toolbar.
Hope this helps

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] OT - Edumail Exasperation
Hi everyone
I would like to become divorced from Edumail, and go for custody of our 675=
children (ie my inbox in edumail)
*
Roland has the great idea of using gmail, and I used to use Yahoo mail and=
import my edumail into it, but I have some questions relating to the whole=
process.
*
The old version of yahoo still supports (I think) migrating my edumail into=
it - but whereas it used to work it no longer does - does anyone know the p=
op address to use (I thought it was pop.edumail.vic.gov.au)
*
How can I do this in gmail? Does anyone know how to import other pop mail i=
nto gmail - if in fact it can be done? I would like to avoid using too many=
email addresses for education related stuff. gmail will hold 2 gig of mail=
whereas yahoo holds 200 mb, so obviously gmail would be preferable. I also=
need to be able to get onto my edumail wherever I am (ie via the web)
*
What is the size limit of edumail folders and how can I find out how much s=
pace I have left? You used to be able to do this until edumail went to a MS=
Exchange server.
*
If I am near my capacity in edumail do I get a warning email, or does it ju=
st stop delivering email to your inbox?
Any help would be much appreciated - thanks
