Exactly my thoughts too Mark.
I have found 'Base' to be stable, fast, familiar and intuitive.
Creating a mail merge was as easy as dragging a database field onto a
document. Importantly, I dont have to worry about the changes that
will be rolled out with the next itteration of MS Office and can start
preparing my notes for 2007 now! I plan to distribute the software for
students to use at home (a version even can run on USB keys) Currently
I am assembling a collection of handouts, shockwave tutorials with
Wink and sample outcomes.
