[Year 12 IPM] databases

We use Access, the Potts et al text has a reasonable set of introductory
exercises you can write tasks around. If you have Filemaker I can
recommend that - it's simpler to design forms in and you can develop
relationships on the fly.
MySQL is very potent but SQL programming is beyond my students, most of
whom are foundation Maths or worse. You can do great stuff with MySQL
but its real power is at the command line or PHP/Perl API. Depends on
your students but it's free and fun for students who like programming.
