THanks for the suggestions re Monkey Jam. I will have a play on the
weekend. One of my E-Clubbers came today talking about a cool
program called Marvin which her Mum is playing with and says it is
good.

This is exciting for me, that kids are being exposed to exciting
things OUTSIDE the classroom... We still have many kids without
comptuer access at home.

With the middle school years this week we have been assessing the
weather sites (American Navy, weather.com and bom.gov.au). The kids
have really enjoyed checking it out, but when there is a cyclone less
than a couple fo hundred km away, it makes it mroe interesting.
Recess in the staffroom consisted of a cyclone bet - what time we
will go to the next alert level (yellow), I am not sure if the staff
or the kids are the most hyperactive at the moment. We should only
get winds to 120km/hr here, so we are lucky, the poor pilbara is
likely to get the grunt of it.

Cheers, Terri.
