Hi Donna,
We (at Avila College) use:
Audacity
OpenOffice 2
Firefox
We have had some issue with OpenOffice on our network (yet to be resolved completely) and have used various sources on the web to find a solution.
We do find some (necessary) eduction sites only accept IE, not Firefox. eg: the VCAA ON-Demand testing system.
cheers
Russell

This was originally posted in the midst of the Audacity thread, and got
no response... so I'm trying again :)
(Congratulations Sylvia - and well done to the rest of you for the
support you provided)
I'm working on a matrix that matches open source software to VELS.
I wonder if any of you would be interested in sharing your experiences
on how you're using Open Source Software?
In what subject areas?
In what ways?
Which Software?
Are you accessing the online development and user communities to support
your usage or going it alone?
Would you be interested in getting together to discuss and share ideas on lesson and
activity design and pedagogy?
cheers
Donna.
