PS - Stephen, I'm not sure I'd characterise the new reporting requirements
as "counterproductive political correctness, futile attempts at social
engineering and incredibly wasteful bureaucracy...."
To be fair, there is an attempt to "compare students with credible and
measurable standards" across the state (although "credible" and "measurable"
are stretched for some). My concern is that, apart from a website full of
more documents than you can possibly digest in a lifetime, we have been
given no time or resource to come to grips with those standards let alone
figuring out how to measure student progress against them. The result will
be a whole lot of dots on paper that have little to do with what students
actually know (and whoever defined the word 'essential' for the
mathematicians who created the Maths standards need a better dictionary!)

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] OTT - VELS Reporting Software
Hi,
Can people please indicate what software their schools are going to use to
create reports for the new proposed reporting system.
Our school is about to start comparing Filemaker Pro vs Markbook.
Thanks,
Michael
