[Year 12 IPM] RE: Text books for 2007

Hi all,
 
I am on the same wave length at the time. I have asked for  proofs of the 4 major books sent to us so that we can check them out as we blindly brought a book 3 years ago and it has not been the best. so I will let you know when I receive them and if possibly see if we can get a group of us together and review the books...

Hi all,
I had hoped (optimistically) that the publishers would tell us more, sooner.  I am trying to select texts for IT at units 1and 2, and for IT Applications units 3 and 4 for next year and the new courses. This year I had been using IT alive and IT at work. I am happy with those for the current course, but they don't seem to be being updated. The bookseller has told us what will be available in December or January, and they seem to be the Jacaranda and Thomson Nelson texts. This is all well and good, but I don't want to blindly select a text to booklist and then decide the other was better and have to explain to parents why they can't resell their books after only 1 year. The booklist has to be done very soon. What are other people doing and why?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
