You can download a evaluation copy of Microsoft Project. It will last
for 30 days before requiring registration. That might be an alternative
option

Yes that seems to be a limitation.

A snap to install, easy to use and free to share.  We put it on on our
school HDD image and discovered that the students can even  run it from
their USB keys. Now, that's cool. :-)

Can I admit to  playing about with it to chart our last family holiday?
