[Year 12 IPM] lost laptop

Hi Diane
Comprehensive car insurance -- was the laptop locked in the boot out of
sight (DEET used to not approve of hatchbacks for the transport of
laptops because they could be seen)
House insurance - many (but not all) cover personal valuables lost from
cars --
School insurance for material loaned to teachers ---
If none of the above apply: the school should wear the loss and
implement a policy immediately so that next time there is no problem
about who to blame
(personally I blame the thief)
Good luck

Subject: RE: [Year 12 IPM] Audacity
Hello everyone
Thanks for the discussion on Audacity - wow, what a topical issue!
I have another question that's off topic: Does anyone know what their
school policy is regarding the loss of school-issued laptops? We are an
independent school and there is a lot of discussion going on currently
because one of our staff members had her laptop in her car which was
burgled.
Does anyone have a definite policy that they impose? ... Pleeeeeeese!!!
Thanks
