Loved it, James! A great read.  If we all did that, the scammers would 
give up.

Personally, I like harassing dinner-time telephone sales people.

e.g. "Great!  I'd love to hear about FooBar! Can you hold on a minute?"
Then lay the phone down and wait half an hour before hanging up.
