i too have a mixed yr 11 and 12 class - however i run it as a straight ipm. (21 students altogether)
yr 11 IT is not a pre req for IPM, although it is preferred (i have 5 from 21 with no yr 11 IT)
we allow some students to do VCE IT in yr 10 to alleviate the proccess also

Thanks for replying.
The major problem I am facing is the class size, like Andrew said. I have 18 Year 11's and 6 Year 12's.
I am also new to the system, i.e. just a year of IP&M experience and we have switched from on-line-text to Potts this year.
