This is very timely. :)

I'm currently working on a matrix matching open source software with
VELS and I'm really excited to hear so many of you say that you're using
Audacity in your schools.

I wonder if any of you would be interested in sharing your experiences
on how you're using Audacity? In what subject areas? In what ways?

Are you accessing the online development and user communities to support
your usage or going it alone?

Would you be interested in getting together to discuss lesson and
activity design and pedagogy?

The School of the future has some useful info on digital audio.

What other online resources are you using?

The document referred to below by Michael Abulencia from educationau
about open source is excellent, and I would urge any of you battling to
get access to open source software to read it.

Audacity can be downloaded for free from
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/

cheers
Donna.
