>From our school's point of view, Audacity is the only one we'd use ... and
"the price is right" (but the technician is wrong!). We have had it running
here for over a year without a hiccup at all, and we have very conservative
and careful technicians.

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] Audacity

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if anyone was aware of any programs like Audacity that
are
available to purchase. My technician refuses to put Audacity on the network
as
he doesnt like putting shareware or freeware on the network for security
reasons. I know what many of you may say - I had a long conversation with
the
technician to no avail. Can anyone recommend another sound editing software
that is not too expensive and not too complicated for students. thanking
you.
