Hi Colin
I had USB's booklisted for 2004 and 2005 and never had any problems with their use (and that was your average secondary school environment. ) I am trying to think back to whether there was ever a floppy disk acceptable user policy??? Will we eventually need a graphics calculator acceptable user policy or a compass or blue biro acceptable user policy? They are easily confiscated if they are being misused - not returned until the same lesson the following week is a definite incentive to do the right thing.
Today I actually confiscated a laptop (same thing - being misused) although I did hand it back at the end of the lesson!
I believe there has already been a discussion on these lists that an "Acceptable User Policy" is not worth the paper it is written on! Kids are not old enough to sign a legal document and their parents cannot sign a document on their behalf (Something like that anyway!) Although I guess it may act as a deterrent to some.
Avagoodweegend everyone

Subject: [Year 12 IPM] USB Memory Stick Acceptible Use Policy
Hi all,
Due to current and emerging problems.....and a lack of a policy, can anyone
help with an existing policy they may have for USB Memory Stick Acceptible
Use.
I remember it being discussed late last year.....but cannot find any
policies or details of what others use.
Hoping someone can help.....
Cheers,
