Could you look at perhaps doing some sound editing work for Unit 3
Outcome 1, then incorporating that into the website design and
construction in U3O2.
Also, with equipment (Software & hardware) the students could perhaps do
a special study into the specialist needs of blind users of tcomputers,
and the products are are available and that are on the drawing boards. A
particular thrust of IPM is understanding the needs of users and then
tayloring output to suit these.
An inverstigation into the topic "Accessibility" would be worthwhile,
particularly the legal requirements for Government sites both here and
in the US and UK should be good. Also some work on CSS and its
adaptability for multiple media types.
Guttenberg has excellent examples of machine reading of classic novels
(I was listening to a few last night), as well as person-read items.
Ciao, Keith
