isn't the whole thing about EWB's that you get the students to use them
We have just had 4 installed in our school. The principal has spent
some time instructing the staff on how to use them. I have gone
straight to the source. I have installed the software on all the
computers in the lab, spent a couple of classes letting the students
"play" with the software and then told them that it gives them another
form of presentation when a teacher asks them to present material on a
subject.
I also requested the students that when they saw one of their poor
teachers struggling with the technology - help them out.
I have used the boards numerous times since their intro, and, without
doubt, their greatest success has been with the activities the students
completed in front of the class. I used the boards to revise Gannt
charts and then got them to teach the year 11's - just to reinforce
their learning.
