Hi all

I am interested to hear what other states are doing regarding ‘Digital
Photography’. It is quite likely that it is not offered under IT (it is
not in SA and it fits under the Technology curriculum statement – in
some schools it might be an Art subject). It is related to IT for me as
I have a role of supporting ICT use across the curriculum and I suspect
many of the people on this list are likely to have a role like this as well.

   1. Are the Digital Photography courses offered in your school
focusing on producing products on paper or publishing via
      electronic means or both?

   2. In SA I am told that the students getting the high marks are the
students and schools who are producing their work with paper
publication as the focus. (This of course may be just their
interpretation of things for whatever reason) Is this something
that you have noticed in your school/state?

   3. What is the a prevailing attitude around where digital photography
should be going as a subject – eg “we should only dabble in
electronic publication, our real focus is and always should be
with paper” or “maybe digital photography should be focused on
digital publication and dabble with paper”.

Thanks in anticipation of your responses

Peter
