Like most others on this forum, I am constantly asked by other non-IT
teachers how to do things - archive emails, open a zip file, etc etc. I
recently purchased Macromedia Captivate (around $250 edu) and I've been
playing around with it and I've been most impressed. You can create
demonstrations that can be exported as swf files; you can aslo create
simulations that require user input. I've just created a whole lot of demos
on the abovementioned topics and posted them on our intranet. The IT support
staff have a grin from ear to ear! I'm going to start creating some
simulations for PD-related stuff when I get some time!
If you download Captivate you get a 30-day fully-functional trial. It's
pretty easy to use and the results are really effective.
A bit off the topic but anyway....!
