[Year 12 IPM] Names for new IT units 1 and 2

Not sure whether "Data Management" makes sense?
 
As soon as you manage data it becomes information?
 
"Contemporary IT" is fruaght with danger. It would have to make a textbook obsolete and could we cope without a textbook?
 
No, my vote is for Mark's alternative...
 

Naked Information Fondling (Unit 1)

 

Paris Hilton Does Data (Unit 2)

 

Although this may be more popular with the boys and turn the girls off the subject.

 

How about a seperate girls stream maybe...

 

Naked Footballers' Information(Unit 1)

 

James Hird does data (Unit 2)

Yes, Mark we have not finally resolved the names of these units, but need to by next Thursday. Some possible titles on the agenda include:

 

Option A

Unit 1: Data management

Unit 2: Information management

 

OR

Option B

Unit 1: Contemporary IT

Unit 2: IT in action.

 

I would be very interested to know of your preferences or of any other suggestions. Let the voting begin!

units 1 and 2.

 

In an effort to boost IT numbers, I think we should call them:
